Complete Membership – Ultimate Support
Being part of a club like SWIC benefits everyone. New members offer social and cultural diversity to the club, and at the same time our existing members can enrich the lives of new members by helping cultivate friendships and new experiences. Every few months the SWIC Committee hosts New Member Lunches and there are twice-yearly Neighbourhood Morning Teas to make ‘newbies’ feel welcome in their new city and neighbourhood.
We are a busy club, and there is a regular event or activity to suit every member, held either weekly or monthly. Most take place during the day, but there are some evening and weekend activities. You can see the full list in the Activities & Events section. Membership of SWIC is on a purely personal and individual basis. The Club does not have corporate membership or any religious affiliation.
Becoming a Member
If you are interested in becoming a member contact us and we will send you information about the Club, together with an invitation to attend a SWIC Information Morning hosted by the committee. These are usually held on the last Monday of the month. In the meantime you may like to download an application form here.
NOTE: Only after a prospective new member has attended one of the Information Mornings, and had her application for membership approved by the committee, will she be sent instructions on how to pay the joining fee and membership subscription. Once payment has been received, the new member will be given full access to the members’ area of the SWIC website (MySWIC) and sent her SWIC badge.
